Mascots

Newsie is the mascot and most beloved member of NFY's staff. He was born in Newshire, England. He actually started NFY many years ago, as he would secretly deliver and write a daily newspaper in the small town of Umpire, Michigan, in the middle of the night. Until he was discovered by the town constable, and our President, saw him in jail, felt bad for him and adopted him. He then helped her  with making NFY what it is now, and proceeded to get arrested 11 1/2 more times for breaking and entering his ex-wife's home and stealing her washing machine, but we don't mention that, do we. You know, nepotism. He enjoys barking, unicycle riding, eating sticks, and knitting. He dislikes people, people, and his ex-wife. He loves Paige Turner. 

Paige Turner is Newsie's Girlfriend, but she's also so much more than an accessory of an egotistical owl. She's the only who can control him. Paige Turner was born in NY, NYC. She grew up in the Bronx, and speaks fluent Spanish and French. Paige Turner's idols include, Gloria Steinem, Amy Santiago, Selena Quintanilla and Evangeline Fox. She loves a good rom-com and forces Newsie to watch them with her. She met Newsie at a library, she was reading, he was leading.. a talk on dictatorship. She's VERY organized and also the sweetest. She's in charge of the photography aspect but also carries a pen and pencil wherever she goes in case of story.
